On Monday March 2 2009 there was the largest protest against climate change that I had ever seen > I followed the action at 350.org and Capital Climate Action . There is a great interview here on Sea Change Radio with my professor Bill Baue interviewing environmentalist author and 350.org Founder Bill McKibben.
I don’t mean to sound trite, but what struck me as I watched the video uploads and Flickr streams live was the demeanor and dress of the crowd > these were working professionals mixed in with young people from all over the country > not fringe at all.
By taking a stand against Coal we are a stand for the biosphere > we all must because > If Not Us, Who??? This is smart making Coal the evil poster boy for bad climate behavior > the ‘Clean Coal’ campaign is blowing up in thier face.
